USCIS Extends the Provisions for Additional Time on RFEs and other Responses & Attorney Dev Banad Viswanath to Work Out of India Offices From February 18th through March 4th, Available for Consultations (Bangalore, Mumbai, and Delhi)!

From the second half of February to the first week of March 2021, Attorney Dev Banad Viswanath will be based at the India Offices. Additionally, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services announced that the agency will extend the flexibility it announced on March 30, 2020, in order to assist applicants, petitioners, and requestors responding to certain:

1) Evidence Requests;
2) Additional Requests for Evidence (N-14);
3) Intent to Deny Notifications; Notifications of Absence;
4) Notifications of Abstention; notices that regional centers will be closing; 
5) Appeals to Reopen an N-400 Based on 8 CFR 335.5, Receiving Negative Information
 
A Notice of Appeal or Motion on Form I-290B or a Request for a Hearing on a Decision in Naturalization Proceedings (Under Section 336 of the INA) on Form N-336 will also be considered by USCIS if:

The form could be submitted within 60 calendar days of our making a decision; and from March 1, 2020, to March 31, 2021, we made that decision.
 
Date of Notice/Request/Decision Issue: If the issuance date listed on the request, notice, or decision is between March 1, 2020, and March 31, 2021, inclusive, this flexibility applies to the aforementioned documents.
 

Deadline for Response: Before taking any action, USCIS will consider a response to the aforementioned requests and notices that are received within sixty calendar days of the response due date. In addition, before taking any action, the Agency will take into consideration a completed Form N-336 or Form I-290B within sixty calendar days of the decision date.
